LiPS® Blocks: These are the blocks I recommend for using with students when developing phonemic awareness skills.  We use these blocks to tap while saying each individual sound within a word.

LiPS® Mouth Pictures: These mouth pictures are great for helping students develop sound discrimination.  The sounds are grouped into pairs and given names to identify what the mouth is doing to produce each sound.

Catch a Star® Workbooks: These workbooks are great for students who are just beginning to read. These are a part of the Seeing Stars Curriculum.  Each page focuses on one high-frequency word from the Seeing Stars word list, similar to the Dolch list, and uses a variety of tools to help students remember the spelling, meaning, and recognition of each word.

Seeing Stars® Decoding Workbooks: These workbooks are great for students who need extra support and practice in decoding and word attack skills. These books help support the Seeing Stars Curriculum.  Each book is leveled according to a specific level in decoding.    Beginning with blending two sounds together, these books scaffold well all the way to decoding 4 syllable words.  These books can be purchased as a set or individually.

Visualizing and Verbalizing® Imagine That! Stories- These books support imagery by giving students fiction and nonfiction text to visualize and verbalize.  This is where students can put their use of structure words to the test by using their words to describe the pictures they have in their minds from the word the text offers.

Visualizing and Verbalizing® Workbooks-These books are great for students who need direct instruction and more support in comprehension-related skills.  These books bridge reading comprehension with writing skills where students summarize what they read in each passage by using the visualization skills to communicate their understanding of the passage. Structure words are used to help build imagery and then write from that imagery. These books do a great job of scaffolding learning by building from more guided imagery to complete student-written answers.  These books can all be purchased as a set or individually.
